‘And he said unto them, How is it that you  sought me? Knew you not that I
must be about my Father’s business?’
Luke 2:49
.
What does it mean to be about our Father’s business and how does it relate
to our daily lives as believers?

There is a direct relationship between the business that we conduct in the
corporate world and the business that we must conduct in the Father’s
kingdom.

Spiritual Maturity Class
Every Wednesday, 7pm!  You don’t want to miss it!

Highlights from Last Week

•   We discussed the reason for Jesus’ response to his parents in Luke 2:49.  Jesus’ maturity and
mentality was not of the typical 12 year old.

•    The word business derives from the word busy.  Key phrases for business include purposeful
activity, role, profit and loss, productivity.

•     Question: What is my purpose for activity?  What is my role for activity in my church and in my
community?

•     Various members shared what their divine purpose was on Wednesday night.  We talked about
the power in declaring your purpose aloud and also writing it down.  Note that in Luke 4:18-19
Jesus declared what his purpose was to others.

•     We should work while we have an opportunity.

•
Exercise: We filled out a worksheet to look at how much time we spend a week doing various
activities which showed how well we managed ourselves in the time we have allotted.

Coming Up Next Week
•        Read John 9:1-4 and Luke 4:18.  We’ll compare these 2 sets of verses.  Also, think about
declaring what your purpose is to others and how it relates to the Spiritual Maturity lesson.
Good News!
